We have now launched the Herts Hike 2009 which will support Oxfam’s project to improve education for children in Zambia by providing school buildings and equipment, water points and latrines. Those of you who came to our “Africa evening” heard how lives can be transformed by access to clean water and sanitation. Please join with us to bring these benefits to families in Zambia and give more children access to basic education and hope for the future.
This year's Herts Hike will take place on Saturday 26 September. We hope that you will join us for this enjoyable walk through the attractive Hertfordshire countryside and help to raise funds for Oxfam. As before, we will also need helpers and marshalls on the day.

Herts Hike 2008
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2008 Herts Hike. We had excellent weather and a record number of walkers (more than 250). The team of marshals and helpers did sterling service. Thank you also to our sponsors without whom we would not be able to run this event.
All of the money raised (over £6,000 to date) by our walkers has gone to Oxfam for the project to improve rice production in Tanzania.
